Ghorepani- Poonhill trek

Ghorepani is a village in Myagdi district in the Dhaulagiri Zone of northern central Nepal. Ghorepani lies in the Annapurna conservation area so one needs a permit to trek in that Region. Ghorepani gives an amazing view of hills and village life can also be seen there. To reach Ghorepani one has to trek for at least 3-4 hrs from ulleri. One can also reach Ghorepani from Birethanti by walking for 10 hrs.

Poonhill is situated at the altitude of 3210m above the sea level. Poonhill is famous for its sunrise view, you can see the 360 view of more than 10 mountains from Poonhill. When you visit Poonhill, you can enjoy the view of sunrise with mountain range.

Itinerary

Day 1: (after breakfast) Drive from Pokhara to Ulleri and Hike to Ghorepani. Overnight stay at Ghorepani.(3-5 hrs walk).

Day 2: Early morning Sunrise watching from Poonhill (45 mins from Ghorepani) back to Ghorepani and trek to Ghandruk.Overnight stay at Ghandruk. (6-7 hrs walk).

Day 3 : (after breakfast) trek down to syauli bazar and drive back to Pokhara.(1-2 hrs walk).
